Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program Deadline Soon

The USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) provides a variety of wonderful fresh produce to eligible elementary schools for free. The produce is provided as a snack during the school day and helps introduce kids to new fruits and vegetables and increase the amount of fresh, unprocessed foods they eat. The Minnesota Department of Education is currently accepting application. The deadline to apply is April 14, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. CT.

If your elementary school participates in the National School Lunch Program and has at least 50% or more of your students eligible for free or reduced-price meals, apply today in CLiCS for the opportunity to receive produce for the 2020-2021 school year. Schools of highest need will receive priority in the award process.

More program details and application instructions are available on MDE’s website.
