State and federal officials have warned social distancing guidelines will remain for some time. Food insecurity will continue to grow as the economy and jobs slowly rebound. Kids will continue to need regular meals through the summer.

Summer can increase kids' food insecurity. MDE seeks schools and nonprofits to fill kids' nutrition gap by participating in the Seamless Summer Option and the Summer Food Service Program, respectively.
