Summer Training Sets Stage for Successful SY2019-20

CKC Good Food hosts two summer training sessions to help our employees and our clients satisfy professional development requirements for school food service personnel:

  1. Annual summer training day, UPDATED DATE: Friday, August 16, meets the required professional standards for school nutrition personnel under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act. This training is mandatory for all CKC Good Food employees managing and operating National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Our clients are also encouraged to attend to satisfy your annual requirements! Our training logs are kept on file and submitted to Minnesota Department of Education as part of your SFA Administrative Review process. At this session, CKC CEO and Founder Nancy Close and General Manager Laurie Yohn, SNS, DTR will cover important procedures related to food safety, kitchen skills, offer versus serve, meal pattern requirements, USDA Administrative Reviews and working with CKC. Everyone who attends will receive CKC's policy and procedure manual - your go-to guide for running a smooth and compliant food service program on a daily basis.
  2. ServSafe training and exam, UPDATED DATE: Friday, August 2. This class provides thorough training on food safety procedures and includes testing for those required to hold a Minnesota Food Protection Manager certificate.
