All That's New

The start of another school year is here. So much preparation has gone into kicking the year off right, especially considering we will be partnering with the most schools and child care centers in our 30+ year history. We will be providing food at more than 160 client sites this year.

CKC Good Food expanded significantly following our move into our Eagan commissary in 2022. In SY 22/23, we took on more first-time clients in one year than we had previously. This year, we have an additional 14 client partners. That kind of growth has a lot of trickle down effects. Consider our recent additions:

• 3 new delivery vans since January 2023 – new magnets to identify our vans
• 18 warming ovens. We had to expand the electrical system in the commissary to get power to 12 of these new warmers!
• 2 additional Rationale iCombi ovens. We added 2 units earlier this year.
• 2 upright refrigerators
• 1 upright freezer
• An enormous amount of smallware items: pans/lids, cambros with lids, scoops, etc.
• 130 black insulated delivery bags plus several new driver pull carts
• Lots of kitchen bakers racks, aluminum pan racks and stainless steel tables

Of course, there have been many non-equipment-related additions too, including 36 new team members, 10 new lunch entrees, new shirts for team members, new magnets for the delivery vans and so much more. We are ready! Let's work together to make it a great year!
