Choose Your Breakfast Menu

Did you know CKC Good Food offers multiple breakfast menu templates from which our client partners can choose? Each menu is filled with a variety of foods that have widespread appeal, particularly with young people.

CKC Good Food Keeps Campers Well Fed

Planning and executing food service for Girl Scouts River Valleys summer camps is an adventure! Providing three meals and two snacks 7 days a week for large groups is challenging in itself. Of course, every group also has varying cultural backgrounds, taste preferences and a wide range of dietary restrictions and allergies. Add to that the need for recipes to be standardized for preparation in three camp kitchens, each with limited space and equipment, and you have a logistics wonder!

Taste Tests Fuel Menu Updates

From March through May, CKC Good Food hosted commissary tours and taste sessions with 10 school groups, totaling more than 120 people representing a range of ages and cultural backgrounds. We host these sessions each spring to give students a behind-the-scenes look at where their school meals are prepared and background on the nutritional guidelines that shape school meals.

The Less-Sweet Truth about Sugar in School Meals

Parents are increasingly concerned about added sugars in their kids’ diets. Scientific research, news reports and social media influencers are calling attention to the negative health consequences that may be tied to eating a lot of sugar: increased obesity, heart disease, chronic inflammation, high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes.

Balanced & Delicious: Private Program Menus

Our recipe and menu development team has worked hard to “beef up” our menus for our client partners operating private food service programs. Just like our menus for public programs, our private menus have a variety of delicious meals that appeal to a range of tastes on a 6-week rotation. Both can offer multiple daily options, including hot entrée, hot vegetarian entrée, allergen meals, and freshly prepared deli sandwiches and salads.

Prioritizing Local & American Produce

CKC Good Food prides itself on providing the freshest, most tasteful food possible to our client sites. Our menus feature a wide variety of local and American products, including seasonal fruits and vegetables.
