Team Spotlight: Parnassus Prep School

At CKC Good Food, the heart of our service isn’t just the meals we serve—it’s the people behind them. Our food service team at Parnassus Preparatory School in Maple Grove works tirelessly to prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals while building connections with our joyful eaters. Today, we’re shining a spotlight on these amazing team members who make it all happen at Parnassus.

Doug Lange – Kitchen Manager

With over 16 years at CKC Good Food, Doug has found a place where he feels truly at home. As the Parnassus Kitchen Manager, he takes pride in cooking and presenting meals that look and taste great, while also handling all ordering. For Doug, the most rewarding part of his job is making a difference in a child’s day and fostering relationships with both his team and the school’s staff. Outside of work, you can find him fishing, waterfowl hunting or camping. And his guilty pleasure? Kitchen Karaoke with friends!

Mai Vang – Server

Mai has been serving meals at CKC Good Food for six years, coming from a background in human resources. She enjoys prepping, cooking and serving, but what she loves most is seeing children’s joyful expressions when they receive their favorite meals. Working in a diverse environment is another aspect of her job that she deeply appreciates. In her free time, she loves taking her children on adventures to different parks, enjoying long walks and hikes. As a true social butterfly, she admits that talking—especially while working—can make her lose track of time.

Rachel Ames – Server

Rachel joined CKC Good Food six months ago after working as an Executive Chef. Her role includes prepping and serving meals, and she finds fulfillment in serving children each day. Outside of work, Rachel loves to travel and spend time with her children, three of whom currently attend Parnassus, with a fourth soon to join them!

Jewells Woods – Server

Jewells transitioned from warehouse work to serving students at CKC Good Food six months ago. She enjoys the simplicity of her role, along with the benefit of having weekends off. But beyond her food service duties, Jewells has a creative side—she’s a talented makeup artist. It’s no surprise that her guilty pleasure is spending a little too much on makeup!

Danielle House – Server

Danielle has been with CKC Good Food for four years after working in retail. Her role includes serving and preparing the salad bar, and interacting with others throughout the day, which she especially enjoys. When she’s off the clock, she prioritizes time with her family.

Each member of the CKC Good Food team brings something unique to the table—whether it’s their dedication to serving students, their passion for food or the connections they build along the way. Their commitment to creating a welcoming and nourishing environment is what makes CKC Good Food truly special.
