Leading Menu Freedom to Scale

Big milestones call for the right people. With USDA approval in place and strong adoption already underway, CKC Good Food’s sister company – Menu Freedom – is ready to scale. This next chapter is about growing impact, supporting more foodservice directors, and building on what’s already working. We’re excited to welcome Dan Rogers as part of the team leading that growth.

Introducing Menu Freedom

Welcome Dan Rogers

We’re excited to announce that Dan Rogers has joined Menu Freedom as its new consultant. Menu Freedom is CKC Good Food’s sister company, created to help foodservice directors and clients like you run successful, compliant, and sustainable meal programs. Dan’s focus is on sales and growth initiatives, with a goal of helping take Menu Freedom from a startup to a major competitor in its space.

Menu Freedom’s turnkey software officially passed the USDA Nutrient Analysis Evaluation in late 2025 and is now one of only 20 USDA-approved programs. While the software has already been used successfully by approximately 130-150 schools in Minnesota and five to six other states, USDA approval opens the door to a significant opportunity to scale the platform nationwide.

Dan was excited to join Menu Freedom because of this momentum and the dedicated team already in place.

“Menu Freedom is at a pivotal moment. With USDA approval in place and a strong foundation already built, this is an opportunity to scale something truly special. I don’t see myself as just a consultant. I see myself as part of the team, helping take Menu Freedom into its next chapter.”

With decades of senior-level leadership experience, Dan has a proven track record of building high-performing teams, improving operations, and driving profitable growth. He’s been consulting for the past three years, but before that he spent nearly 30 years as Vice President of Operations at Cadan Corporation, where he helped grow a small IT reseller into a national managed IT services company generating $16 million in annual sales.

Outside of work, Dan’s also been growing in other ways. Originally from West St. Paul, he’s been married for 37 years and has three adult children. And he’s a proud grandfather to five grandchildren ranging in age from 4 to 24.

Why Menu Freedom was Born

At CKC Good Food, we know firsthand the daily challenges foodservice directors face. Each regular school day, our team prepares and serves more than 70,000 breakfasts, lunches, after-school snacks, and dinners, all meeting the federal nutritional guidelines for their respective programs. Over the years, our proprietary recipes, processes, methods, and tools have helped raise the bar for quality and nutrition in school meals. Menu Freedom: Inspiring joyful eating

That sparked the idea for Menu Freedom – to extend CKC Good Food’s expertise and intellectual property beyond our kitchens, giving foodservice directors access to the same systems and insights that support successful programs every day.
