Funds for Fuel Up to Play 60

Fuel Up to Play 60, a partnership of the NFL and the National Dairy Council, encourages today's youth to lead healthier lives by engaging in wellness activities throughout the year. The multi-faceted, community-based program has elements for kids, educators, parents and community members.

The program's "Playbook" includes a variety of physical activity, healthy eating and general wellness activities based on best practices. They encourage students to take a leadership role, demonstrating to them that there are ways for them to get involved in their own wellness — online and offline — every day of the year. Check out the Fuel Up to Play 60 Playbook for helpful wellness resources and ideas around school breakfast, smarter snacking, farm-to-school, school walking clubs or flag football, in-school activity breaks, etc.

If you need funding to execute plays from your Playbook, apply for funds for Fuel Up to Play 60 worth up to $4,000 per school year. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

To be eligible, you simply need to:

  1. Enroll in Fuel Up to Play 60 (You should do this anyway! There's so much great inspiration and support!).
  2. Have at least one Program Advisor - a "coach" or point person for your school's/district's wellness efforts.
  3. Participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).

If you aren't already enrolled, do it today! Then peruse the playbook to choose one healthy eating and one physical activity to implement next fall. Apply for funds to help successfully execute your plays before April 8.

Don't miss this opportunity! Apply today!
